With much regret selling my Yamaha XT500
I own the bike shop, but this is my own personal bike, so please treat as a private sale

I bought this in June of last year from a friend, who attends the Hay on Wye XT meeting I co-organise every May.
I have known this bike since 2009, since its 1st attendance at the XT meeting, and always wanted it, but Kevin was never ready or wanting to sell.
I sold my 1976 C to a friend last year, when I was given the opportunity to buy it from Kev, and so become the owner of the James Bond bike, the bike as a young guy that started me off on my XT500 ownership.
Kevin had a lot of work completed prior to 2009 when I first saw it, even winning the best XT at the meeting that year.
Some of this work included:
The tank has been professionally painted and sealed
Morad gold rims were fitted with stainless spokes (a deeper/richer gold than the originals)
Engine refreshed and painted in a gloss finish
Frame painted along with many other parts
On purchase I fitted a brand new genuine XT500 rear mudguard, as I had one in my box of parts, also, I had the rear light bracket powder coated.
I also fitted a new 6v battery as its still retains 6v
I have probably ridden a couple hundred miles since owning it, work, family and a bit of rheumatics playing their part
As I co-organise the XT meeting I would be keen to keep in XT ownership, and would consider part exchange in an XT250 in the same colour scheme, alternatively a lesser value XT500 or even a 550
This really is a pretty bike
I started it today on the 2nd kick (should have started 1st kick, but that was operator error), 1st time I had started her in a couple of months
